I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand.
I joined the department of Economics in July 2008. I obtained a bachelor degree in Industrial
Engineering from Mohammadia School of Engineers in 1999, a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering
from Arizona State University in May 2002 and a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Arizona State University
in August 2008. My teaching and research interests are in the areas of Macroeconomic, Growth and Development
and International economics. My current research focus is on Structural Transformation, Sectoral Productivity,
Governance in Africa and Credit Constraints.
